The Maribor International Review is a peer-reviewed online journal in English literature, language, and translation. The journal welcomes submissions of articles in any of these and related fields of research. Articles submitted to the Maribor International Review will be reviewed by the editors and external referees according to the highest academic standards. The journal is committed to speedy and efficient review, normally not exceeding 6 to 8 weeks from submission. Each article is published online as soon as it is ready for publication.
Articles submitted to the Maribor International Review should only be submitted electronically, in Word format, by email to the editor.
The Maribor International Review does not require exclusivity in submission for review. However, if you have submitted your article to another journal, we do require that you let us know about it, and notify us without any delay about other journals' decisions about your article.
The Maribor International Review will consider longer articles, but would prefer articles that do not exceed 10,000 words. Footnotes should be kept to a minimum. Appropriate references to all relevant academic publications should be incorporated, and the accuracy of references is entirely the author's responsibility. Please use the MLA system of reference.
All the articles in the Maribor International Review will be published online in PDF, and once published, no further changes will be allowed.
Public access to articles in the Maribor International Review is free of charge.
The Maribor International Review website has been designed by postgraduate students in the Department of English and American Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor. The site is maintained on a separate server by the Faculty of Education of the University of Maribor.
