Maribor is Slovenia's second largest city with a population of just over 114,000. It is situated in the northeast of the country in the region of Styria (Štajerska). The town is set in the Drava valley (Dravska dolina) marked off by the Pohorje mountain range to the south and the wine hills to the north, with the river Drava wending its way through the old town.
The conference will take place in the main building of the University of Maribor, situated on Slomšek Square (Slomškov trg) in the town centre.
